About Us
Mission Statement
The Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Delta Rho Omega Chapter Community Service Program, Inc. was established as a 501c3 on February 19, 1986. Renamed Ivy Rose Foundation, Inc. in 2007, the nonprofit partners with Delta Rho Omega Chapter and other organizations to provide information, services and scholarships to the community.
2016 marked the 30th year of the Foundation’s existence. Through the charitable, literary, educational and cultural principles which are the foundation of our existence we look forward to the next decade of service and contributions we provide towards the revitalization of communities by:
Elevating the quality of life for residents of the community
Conducting or sponsoring public forums on areas of need and interest to the general public
Providing scholarships, awards and grants to deserving individuals and organizations
Providing and promoting educational and cultural opportunities and activities
Operating in accordance with the laws of the IRS and New York State Bureau of Charities
