Welcome to the Ivy Rose Foundation, Inc.’s virtual home! We invite you to explore and learn more about us! We are a dynamic group of volunteer women who are passionate about making our world a better place. Our hearts, minds and strengths are committed to be supreme in service to all mankind.
Since 1986, Ivy Rose Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) not for profit corporation, has provided charitable, literary and educational activities. Our mission is:
1) To provide and promote educational and cultural activities for communities in and around the borough of Brooklyn.
2) To stimulate interest in and create an awareness of the need to elevate the quality of life for the disadvantaged in this community.
3) To conduct or sponsor public forums at which discussions about human needs and services are presented.
4) To provide awards and grants, including scholarships and fellowships, to deserving individuals or organizations.
With over 200 members, Ivy Rose Foundation, Inc. has grown and evolved to support and address the needs of Brooklyn’s residents. Since its inception, Ivy Rose Foundation, Inc. has made charitable donations to organizations such as the American Cancer Society, Brookdale Hospital’s Pediatric Sickle Cell Anemia Program, the Brooklyn Music School, the Dance Theatre of Harlem School, Weeksville Heritage Center and the Sphinx Organization.
In 2018, Ivy Rose Foundation, Inc. awarded $25,650 in scholarships. Its fundraising efforts also underwrite programs of our stellar community partners, including Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® Delta Rho Omega Chapter. Notable programs included in this year’s partnerships are the HBCU College Tour, “Rites of Passage” program for young males, and “Money is Power” financial literacy workshop. Ivy Rose Foundation, Inc. is also the custodian of the J. Marjory Jackson Scholarship in the Performing Arts.
